The most recent build number of the MS JVM is 3810. The previous version was 3805. There is a mention of MS VirtualMachine version 3812 that only provides a hotfix to the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine to make itcompatible with DST 2007 (daylight saving time 2007) rules. The 3810 Microsoft VM includes a fix for securityvulnerability with ByteCode Verifier component of the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine, that does not correctly block some malicious Java applets. Steps to install the MS VM:

  1. Download the file using the links above and save it to your harddrive.
  2. Once the file is on your harddrive, execute it and thus load the Microsoft Virtual Machine.
  3. As the file begins execution, answer Yes to the License Agreement question and then once complete, re-boot your PC.
  4. Once the PC is re-booted you should be set to go.
